Foundations of Calibration
Autonomous Calibration of Blood Pressure Dependent Data Using Second-Order Blood Pressure Variation for a Future Mobile Diagnostic: Requirements for a Calibration
The paper describes the scientific basis for a new calibration logic for mobile blood pressure systems.
At its centre stands the second-order blood pressure variation (BDII): a breathing-dependent change of blood pressure that provides additional individual information for the calibration.
The classical reference measurement is thereby extended by a dynamic component – with the aim of calibrating mobile and continuous blood pressure measurements more reliably.
